Fine art giclée prints are high quality, archival grade, digital prints produced using an ultra fine inkjet printing process. Giclée (pronounced gee-clay) is derived from the French word “gicler”, meaning “to spray or spurt” liquid. Widely considered to be amongst the finest quality prints available, giclée prints can be found in museums and art galleries worldwide.
A giclée print is generated from a high resolution digital scan of an original work of art such as a painting or drawing, and printed with archival quality pigment based inks onto various substrates including canvas, fine art and photographic paper. The giclée printing process allows for extremely detailed reproductions containing all the tonalities and hues of the original artwork. The results are prints of superb accuracy and vibrancy.
Archival quality ensures lightfast prints that are expected to last over 100 years.
